Fill your inventory with useless crap until you have a single open slot, fill it with a tech part, then go hit scrap nodes. You won't gain any scrap but every now and then you will gain a tech part. continue until loaded with parts go drop them off at a factory and repeat.

i find it extremely strange that the devs decided to automate base defense with the instakill at max range pillboxes

but you still have to afk mash the scrap with a hammer like a peon from wc3

suppressing fire with HMG's and Smoke grenades are pretty dang effective against pillboxes

then you just gotta throw enough explosives at the problem to fix it

Alternatively you can seek out and destroy the tunnel network node and it stops pillboxes from working when they are no longer supplied

Nah I've done it a few times and it's easy

Get CV parked up next to building you want to build/restore

Have fuel and bmats in it

Get in "gunners" seat, hold right mouse click and aim towards building, hold left mouse to actually build

And yeah, Hit E when your in the gunner seat to start the construction

This is for things like factories and plants I don't know how it applies to the player build fortifications

Concept is really cool, but hard to get balanced servers. One side seems to get ahead while the other sleeps and then the losing side gives up.

Since it's alpha I wouldn't be too critical yet, but I think one thing they might want to do is phase in a game mode where the winner is determined by a score that is gained via holding territory over time

sort of a KotH type deal

so fluctuations in population over a day's period can be recovered from if the sides get imbalanced and so on, presuming it also sometimes swings in the other's favor

instead of a conquest-style winner takes all sort of thing, which is I think how it works now?

also maybe a game mode with smaller teams and a smaller map would be cool

it's a fucking sea of foxholes and anti-tank turrets wherever you go after a certain point

Best I've seen is an APC loaded with ammo and lots of smokes and HE grenades. Suppress defenses with APC HMG, then infantry smoke em and walk up to throw HE

That's unopposed however

The problem is servers either have a quick war because one side is organized/knows what their doing or nobody knows what their doing and it turns into a big stalemate

so you have players actively avoiding fights so they can do the actually useful thing, which is find some weak spot somewhere and blow shit up there
