History
The show began informally as idle talk on the main show, but when Taylor began talking about ditching the concept all together, an outcry grew from many Fediverse users, wanting to hear the crews opinions on matters. Eventually Taylor relented, setting up the block with Prude as host.
The Nonce of Poast
The most notable segment of the Snake Pit was when Taylor and Prude did a deep dive into the Poast user known as G117ch who has recently been outed as a paedophile by several users on Kiwifarms.cc. The episode raised awareness of the subject, with G117ch eventually leaving Fediverse just a few days later.
Cancellation
The last episode of Snake Pit aired on August 13th 2022. When The BEEF STREAM returned from its hiatus in December of 2022, AFTER DARK was not brought back, and as such, effectively cancelled The Snake Pit.
With the return of AFTER DARK in May of 2024, Taylor stated there was a possibly The Snake Pit could return, if there was ever a need.
