As with all Bimmies after 2019, production began immediately after the previous years Bimmies with a rough outline of nominations being compiled and curated through the year. A new addition however, was a brief user submitted nomination period to weed out bad picks and get community suggestions.
After the relative success of the 2020 Bimmies being held live, it was decided shortly after that all further Bimmies would be produced live. After the remodel of the WIDE Studios in May and June of 2021, bigger sets and greenscreen stages were able to be constructed.
