WIDEVERSE
The WIDEVERSE is the name given to the collective history of on which this wiki is based, forming as a Runescape clan in 2003 before beginning officially with the formation of COMMUNISM and culminating today with WIDEBOYS.
History
The history of WIDEVERSE is divided into several distinct epochs, usually revolving around a game in the early years, but later more broad after The Rust Golden Age. The timeline is also fraught with conflicts and disasters pitting WIDEVERSE against other, usually larger, communities, but also against itself in a series of CIVIL WARS and internal conflicts.
Culture
Two decades have given rise to a very particular culture, complete with its own vocabulary that at times is almost indecipherable to outside viewers. Historically, the WIDEVERSE's culture has been based around the groups central game, starting of course with Runescape, then later WoW, and later on games like Rust and Fortnite.
However, since 2022, the WIDEVERSE's cultural focus has been more on the productions of Widehaus Media Group such as The BEEF STREAM, BEEFYBALL!, and Whole Wide Woods.
People & Groups
In the vast history of The WIDEVERSE, there have been hundreds, if not thousands, of notable personalities and characters who have wandered in and out of our zeitgeist. Though most are gone, many are still fondly remembered and their contributions live on as part of WIDE cultural and legacy.
