Their first encounter was during one of his streams wherein he was putting up signs to some of his individuals viewers. Cal Worthington, Capitaler, and Prude came upon him during it and began harassing him. His group of friends and BMW would clash over the next few days until [FUKBMW] was formed, a coalition of butthurt pubbies who threw themselves fruitlessly against the DREADFORT for an hour or two before giving up, having not gotten past even the outer defenses.
A similar styled raid would come a week later during the [[HR Raid]], again making it only to the foundation of the DREADFORT before being brutally pushed back by defenders. However, the DREADFORT would fall not 12 hours later on the morning of the wipe when Taylor accidentally put the door codes to the DREADFORT in a YouTube video of the raid in [[The Door Code Incident]] that resulted in Taylor being chastised and BMW's default codes being changed.
For the next month BMW would dominate the server with nobody able to stop them, outside of a blindside attack known as the [[SPEED Assault]], with many of its perpetrators joining BMW anyways months later. Burnout would set in though, with most everyone taking a week or two off in late July. Returning proved hard, with very few coming back initially, causing a feeling of defeat with the leadership. A desperated raid was launched to take down a base already on the airstrip, a make or break moment for BMW. This led to many issues, most notably during the LA Assault on the base. Eventually everyone gave up, with Fallout 4's impending release.

After the failure of Terminus and the unreliability of Boondock, ADOLFS was chosen as the next server in early January of 2016. BMW joined late in a wipe, and as such was able to go ham without much pushback. The first day hit a significant snag as the spot chosen most suitable for a DREADFORT was already occupied. Without any explosives, Taylor and a group of 4 other Bimmers were forced to spend several hours picking through the base to find the tool cabinets. However, with enough dedication they came out on top. This was far from the end of the troubles, as later that night the foundation base of the DREADFORT was raided, almost being lost if not for the quick thinking of Taylor, sneaking up behind the raiders with a machete.
The DREADFORT was quickly built, and with interest renewed in the new year and new members to contribute, resources abounded, enough to enable Rej to built the DREADFORT to previously unheard heights. Dubbed the "BMW Space Program" the power on top of The DREADFORT was so tall that the textures of it glitched out and was known to crash some lesser computers.
Eventually, BMW ran afoul of some of the bigger clans on the server, and in a midnight raid, they leveled the DREADFORT, leaving behind a VERY angry message. In a show of unbeatable Bimmer resilience, a skeleton crew spread across the map to start building up a massive stock of explosives, leaving it to one night in an early morning raid for Taylor and Peaches to attack the clans main bases, utterly destroying their loot rooms, taking nothing, just sending a message.

The next day proved much worse, as through mistakes of newbies to BMW, in conjunction with a possible cheating admin, the DREADFORT was raided before the foundation was even completed. Defeated, BMW left the server in shame.

BMW would return to NBO on January 25th. With Taylor's internet still shitting the bed, he could only call the shots via voice chat, sometimes in game. The wipe started with a bang when BMW executed a stealthy raid on a 3o6 base using a jumping exploit using angled walls to jump all the way to the top.
By now, The concept of The DREADFORT had become more of a hassle than a help. Reverting to their roots, BMW adopted the DETROIT model, using a sprawling city and hellscape of walls and shitshacks to obfuscate important targets. To draw attention from it, Cal Worthington set up a much smaller but fake DREADFORT near the airfield, using it to snipe and draw other clans attentions. The most notable of these fights was against [FYL], a clan who uploaded a YouTube video of destroying the fake DREADFORT. BMW responded a few days later by hitting their actual base, with Cal Worthington uploading his own raid video.
=== Uprising === | |||
On February 27th, BMW came to Uprising. Dominated by a clan called [DADDY], BMW immediately set them in their sights. One of the most notable encounters was the infamous moment of Taylor and Teknoir sneaking up on one of their snipers in a tower. Taylor had just happened to have set a teleport to the base earlier in the day while it was still being constructed, allowing him free access. Teknoir boosted him up and Taylor was able to sneak up on the sniper, gunning him down.
BMW employed a much stranger base strategy in their time on Uprising, using a single tiny shitshack hidden on the coast.
=== Empire === | |||
Empire Rust was a short lived server starting on March 16h. It's unsure why BMW left, but it's possible it was because of unbalanced VIP perks that allowed certain players to get unfair legs up on wipe day.

Frustrated, many Bimmers returned to PvP Online for a few days (with others going on a short hiatus). Led by Taylor, a small crew of Bimmers including G-Mach and Vec destroyed much of the server during April 25th through the 26th.

The plan was a success, too much of a success in fact. The old admin, for some reason, got very angry and paid for the servers to be DDOS'd for several hours. As the server was owned and operated by Bishyaler, he put together counter-measures, though by that point the damage was done.

Rust is a shitty formerly early access survival game featuring building. The creator, Garry Newman, constantly fucked up the game and it was a pain in the ass. However, the game was also the catalyst for the formation of BMW, a shameful fact.
About
Starting as a DayZ clone, Rust began originally as a browser game. As it got slightly more popular, it was released onto Steam into Early Access in what would later be known as Legacy Rust. The original Rust was a lot like the current day one except there werent random maps and building was real weird. Also there were zombies, but they got taken out in like 2014. Also the cheeto wolves dropped full Kevlar.
History
Pre-2015
WIDEVERSE interest in Rust began on January 19th, 2014 when Prude talked Shelarahn and Pigeon into purchasing the Alpha version of the game for the staggering price of 19.99$ (which was a lot for a shitty potentially one off game experience). The first experience COMMUNISM had in Rust was on a random Goon server (years later revealed to be the same server many future BMW members frequented) that lasted all of 2 hours.
Later in the year, around August, a second venture was made, this time much more successful. A good portion of the COMMIES pilled onto a pubbie server and established THE CROWS NEST in the hills surrounding one of the smaller rad towns. The entire adventure is documented in the form of Twitch VODs on the COMMUNISM YouTube channel[1][2][3][4][5][6]. For about a week, Rust popped off hard, complete with a large raid against one of the prominent clans on the server that ended in a draw and a short lived coalition that ended in a power trip and betrayal, shocking that wasn't because of Shelarahn. Afterwards, momentum died down within the group, but Shelarahn remained in the game, admining a different server after lying and saying he was a late night/early morning admin. During this time, he would receive his first Rust ban.
In December, Rust again came to the forefront as the new Experimental update of Rust came out, leading to the COMMIES hosting a series of maps. The new builds were extremely buggy, most notably in the event of House of Wolves.
2015
COMMIE CREW Rust
The early months of 2015 were very active for COMMIE CREW in Rust. The year began with the groups server doing rather well, considering. However, it would soon die out, forcing the COMMIES to once again seek out Pubbie servers. The group gained some notoriety on a particular unnamed pubbie server, but was eventually rolled given the groups inability to adequately farm, due to low manpower. This, along with other intrapersonal issues, was the catalyst for Taylor issuing his infamous May 6th edict, changing the groups direction from attempting to build from scratch, to infiltrating and taking over a larger org from within. The COMMIES first target: Goons.
GAY Crew
During the same period, the Goons of Something Awful were also getting into Rust, hosting a series of servers. In early May, two of the larger servers merged, creating GOON PLAYGROUND. The server was rather popular, attracting The COMMIES who decided to have a slight rebrand under the clan tag [GAY], at the behest of Prude, who was spearheading the project. Despite starting out small and attempting to ally with GDC, the GAYs eventually allied with GM, the preeminent clan on the server, led by Kimsemus. GMs power shielded the GAYs, allowing them to also grow. They also gained a sizeable amount of notoriety on the PLAYGROUND, especially Taylor, who quickly became renowned for his impressive sniper kills. When the server began dying out due to excessive raiding of pubbies, a consensus was reached that the active players of the server should band together under one banner, and branch out into pubbie servers.
Birth of BMW
On May 25th, GM, GAY, FORD, and other medium size clans all agreed upon merging into a new clan that would concentrate on raiding pubbies on their own servers, allowing GOON PLAYGROUND to recover its numbers of pubbies. The name BMW was agreed upon continuing the naming scheme of car companies. The first server was one hosted by a streamer named PsiSyndicate. This was specifically chosen as one of the founders, CalWorthington had a rager for stream sniping, and was usually very funny. However, the group struggled to find a foothold, being raided many times and having small DREADFORTS destroyed daily. The final straw was when Kimsemus and Taylor were banned for stream sniping a kid named ThatConleyKid.
Rusty Bottoms
A new server was found by Cal, this one populated by a few different streamers, most notably Jaq and Xyelz. Next up was NewBoondockOxide in mid December, a modded server with a friendly (though possibly furry) admin.

At some point during the time on Rusty Bottoms, Bishyaler had renamed his server to PvP Online in an effort to market it to pubbies. Successful or not, many Bimmers returned here around Christmas when most people were gone. A brief war emerged between the unholy union of GM and FORD against GAY in the GMFORD-GAY War.
2016
The new year brought renewed interest in the game with many new Goons joining BMW such as Lancek, Hazlen, Korva, and many others.
ADOLFS
After the failure of Terminus and the unreliability of Boondock, ADOLFS was chosen as the next server in early January of 2016. Rusticity Pt. 2
After the embarrassment of Rusty Bottoms, BMW was elated to find Rusticity had not shut down, and on January 22nd, returned. However, Taylors internet began an episode of extraordinarily bad service, forcing others to step up in leadership in his stead.

Empire
Empire Rust was a short lived server starting on March 16h. It's unsure why BMW left, but it's possible it was because of unbalanced VIP perks that allowed certain players to get unfair legs up on wipe day.
PvP Online Pt. 2
Frustrated, many Bimmers returned to PvP Online for a few days (with others going on a short hiatus). Led by Taylor, a small crew of Bimmers including G-Mach and Vec destroyed much of the server during April 25th through the 26th.
NewBoondockOxide Pt. 3
Back to the old tried and true, BMW came home to Boondock on April 27th.
However, by May 2nd it was clear the admins had more or less given up on the server, with increasingly long periods of lag and not much response from admins.
Rust Army
Despite trying Uprising again briefly, BMW landed on Rusty Army on May 12th.
Horizon
By July 10th, however, BMW was on Horizon, though quickly leaving after it was revealed the server was rife with cheaters.
Rusty Spittoon
The last of the server hops, BMW landed on Rusty Spittoon in August.
Return of QUEEN
Briefly, Taylor, Vec, and a few others organized on an unknown server under the clan [QUEEN]. This came in conjunction with the allying of themselves and [HaX].
The Rusticity Wars
On September 21st, BMW returned to Rusticity. However, the admin once again announced he was shutting down the server. This time, tired of having to server hop almost every single week, Taylor concocted an idea to steal the branding for the server.
The plan was a success, too much of a success in fact. The old admin, for some reason, got very angry and paid for the servers to be DDOS'd for several hours. As the server was owned and operated by Bishyaler, he put together counter-measures, though by that point the damage was done.
The Downfall
After the first day of Rusticity, things only got worse, with massive infighting beginning among BMW. With no real enemy to face anymore, Ashy and others began fighting, and one by one the original Rust crew began quitting the game.

The Salt Shakers
At the behest of new member Nonpoint, Taylor and a few others joined up with his clan, TSS in early May. Taylor especially meshed with the culture very well, and together they were a formidable opponent in the server Blueberry. They would go up against BMW's old rival, NAMBLA, easily routing them. In Taylors mind, this proved his long held theory that NAMBLA was receiving admin assistance and/or cheating while on Terminus, seeing as how easily they were routed otherwise.
In December, Taylor, Bear, and Gorzhak would trio IsRusty. It was shortlived, but Taylor and Gorzhak would go on through the month to try out some small RP servers.
2019
Taylor and Gorzhak, along with a few other Biggers, put in a few attempts to revive the game in 2019. By this point, the game was almost unrecognizable, having changed much in the 2 years of development. However, despite any moderate success, it never gained traction and was once against abandoned.
